Half Marathon and Marathon Training Program
 

Whether you are looking to complete your first half marathon or full marathon, or you are an experienced runner, Texas Iron will help you reach your goals in a positive and hard working environment.

Built around some of the local road racing schedule, this program is periodized to help you reach your true potential. Top level coaches work with you individually to improve your form and running efficiency. Results come from consistency in training through appropriate workouts, injury prevention and strengthening work. Learn from experienced and proven coaches how to run faster, smarter and with less effort.

The Texas Iron half marathon and marathon run program includes two coached workouts a week and a detailed workout plan to follow outside of group workouts. The group will meet Tuesday evenings at Barton Springs and Sunday mornings for the long run workout.

The program is geared towards the February Austin half marathon and marathon (2/20/11) but can be adjusted to meet any athletes training goals for other races during that time period.

Start Date: Sunday, November 14th - Meet at Hill Country Running Company 8:30 a.m. for short introductory talk and then a run workout.

Workout Days:

  • Tuesday 6:00 pm @ Barton Springs
  • Sunday morning (time TBA per length of run and posted each week)

 

Cost - $290 for entire program duration (ends 2/20/11)
